REPORTS OF THE INSTITUTE
Durocher's Inventory List of the University of California's South Coast Collections in Museo Regional de Ica (1954-1961) will soon be available. List includes valley/site number, site name, collection date, number of bags collected, item counts per bag and current storage location for 855 bags of south coast artifacts filling 68 boxes. The collections are primarily sherds, but bone, textile, vegetals, etc. are also included. As soon as an Index by site is completed, the list will be made available. Contact CIPS Archivist, Ntaniguchi@csustan.edu, for information.
[Except for Items #1, #6 and #7 the following are progress reports of fieldwork done, year by year. The aim of these reports is to provide timely data on work accomplished. Little or no synthesis, interpretive or comparative work was attempted, nor was peer review solicited. However, the reports (often completed in the field at the end of the season) do contain a wealth of drawings of ceramics and textiles and other data which provide a record not heretofore available from this part of Peru.]
